Why I Write
Whether you found my site by chance or by choice, I’m glad you’re here.
Writing helps me face what I’ve carried, what I’ve feared, and what I’ve learned to move through. It helps me make sense of the things life doesn’t always explain.
For many years, I’ve written privately, crafting stories influenced by both imagination and my lived experience. I create fiction and nonfiction across various formats, including short stories, narrative podcast episodes, and content for my websites, business, clients, and social media.
Some of my writing explores fear and danger—what threatens us and what we survive. Other pieces turn inward, focusing on grief, regret, and the struggles we often keep to ourselves.
My podcast, Growing Older Together, explores many of the same themes, especially as we age.
I’ve been revisiting older drafts. Some will be shared here. I’m also collaborating with writers who share a love for horror and psychological fiction.
My memoir, Gripped: The Weight I Refused to Carry, was published on September 30, 2025 and is now available. It tells the story of breaking generational silence, keeping promises to myself instead of everyone else, and finally saying what had gone unsaid for too long.
In addition to my writing and podcasting, I work with authors, writers, creatives, and business owners through Dirden Blueprint Group, where I offer consulting and production services in self-publishing, podcasting, design, and translations.
